The Oakville estate is located in the western foothills of the Oakville appellation. At elevations between 250 and 500 feet are six separate vineyard sites that span more than half a mile along the hillside. 25 distinct vineyard blocks are planted according to the topography, soil and microclimate. The soils consist mainly of decomposed sandstone and shale from ancient uplifted seabed. Cabernet Sauvignon is the predominating varietal, of which, several selections are planted. In addition, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Merlot are planted on several select sites across the estate.
